Engaging bright minds and furthering Wavin’s brand ambitions

Wavin are a global manufacturer of plumbing and drainage solutions with a clear brand purpose – building healthy, sustainable cities. While Wavin’s mission is clear, it isn’t always apparent to their audience, who only perceive them as a solutions-focused brand, and not one that could play a central role in improving our world.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The creative

There was opportunity here to engage some of the brightest engineering minds in the industry, and task them with solving one of the biggest crises facing the country. Working closely with Wavin and the Institution of Civil Engineers, we developed the Water Futures Challenge. 

This UK-wide competition tasked junior and student engineers with creating innovative solutions to the UK water crisis, with entries judged by an expert panel. We created a visual identity for the challenge, supported it with a social strategy and content plan, trade media campaign and dedicated landing page with downloadable resources for use by students and universities alike.
